1947: Incorporation into the Bulten Group

Stronger together

By the mid-1940s, the Åshammar Bolt Factory had matured into a specialized fastener manufacturer with a track record of solving problems that other manufacturers couldn’t.

In 1947, the factory was acquired by the Bulten Group, which enhanced its customer offering and distribution network. This involved a transition from a locally managed entrepreneurial enterprise to a production unit within a larger industrial organization.

In 1948, the factory began designing and building its own specialized manufacturing machinery in-house, including “nut sprayer” machines. This tradition of innovation continues today.

The integration into the Bulten Group brought access to engineering expertise, broader supply chains and international markets. Significant investments were made in machinery upgrades and even a brand-new state-of-the-art factory, which began a new chapter of the company’s history.
